I’d been using soft harness gloves since I started racing but had been considering switching to hard gloves for a while. I was really worried they wouldn’t work for me as I have limited feeling in my lower arms but they’ve worked really well. The large pushing surface area is perfect for what I need, I tried to go back to my soft gloves for a bit for sprints and really struggled so have stuck with the hard gloves all the time and my pushing and speed is so much better. I was a bit concerned about how long it would take me to adjust, but I’m definitely faster already and can really feel that better transfer of power into the push rims. Thank you to Rob and ActiveHands for the quick turn around and support with the ordering process.

I’ve now had thesegloves for about three weeks and I’ve now used them about 6 times during training sessions on the track. I have to say that I’m really impressed! As I was advised during the ordering process, they definitely require a little more wrist action compared to the soft gloves that I have been using and I feel I’m getting better at this, every session. I’m already up to a similar speed that I was achieving with the soft gloves although currently my starts are a little slower. My coach who uses a similar glove, tells me that this will improve and I’m working on this. I think the biggest surprise to me is how comfortable they are, I’ve only had one little blister so far and I’ve realised that this was a result of regularly wheelieing into track position at the start of training exercises. I now remove the gloves to do this and only use the gloves while lapping/training/racing. It’s great that they’re so easy to put on and remove, compared to the soft gloves. I can feel that the grip between glove and pushrim is considerably superior to the soft gloves and I’m looking forward to getting more proficient in using them and hopefully seeing my performance improve further. Communication and assitance from ActiveHands during the ordering process was exceptional, you have one very happy customer.
